Syed Mohammad Husaini
Maulana Syed Mohammad Husaini (1931-2013) was a senior Shia cleric and most prominent religious scholar of India. He was belonging to the renowned Qazi family of Banaras. He provided his valuable services to the Islam specially to the Shia community since an early age till last days of his life.
Maulana Husaini started his religious education at Jamia-e-Imania, and completed it at Jamiul-Uloom Jawadia, obtaining the high degree of Fakhr-ul-Afazil. He subsequently contributed to disseminating Islamic education and the teaching of Shia Theology. He achieved the re-establishment of the Jamia-e-Imania Banaras school in 1983.[1]
