Professional career
Early years
After going undrafted in the 2010 NBA draft, Landesberg played for the Sacramento Kings in the 2010 NBA Summer League.[7]
On July 25, 2010, Landesberg signed a two-year deal with the Israeli team Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Basketball Super League.[8] Due to the fact his father is Jewish, Landesberg received Israeli citizenship.[9] He played his first season for the team in 2010–11.[10] "Hopefully, I'll make it to the NBA, but I will definitely never forget my time in Israel no matter where I go. It is a huge part of my growing up," he said.[11]
Maccabi Tel Aviv
On July 4, 2012 he signed a three-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv.[12] In the first two seasons with the team, he saw very little playing time. In the 2013–14 season, his team won the Euroleague by defeating Real Madrid in an overtime 98–86 victory.[13]
During the summer of 2014, after departure of some key players, his role in the team and minutes on the court increased.[14] On October 5, in a pre-season game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he led his team in scoring with 23 points, also having 5 rebounds, 3 assists and steals.[15] The Cleveland Cavaliers eventually won the game with 107–80.
On November 20, he scored a season-high 22 points and added 9 rebounds in a Euroleague game against Limoges CSP.[16] On January 23, against Žalgiris Kaunas he scored 20 points.[17] Maccabi, a defending Euroleague champion, lost to Fenerbahçe in the quarterfinal series with 3–0. Over 19 Euroleague games, Landasberg averaged career-high 8.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
On April 21, 2015, he signed a new three-year contract with a fourth year option with Maccabi.[18][19]
