Syngrapha ain is a moth of the Noctuidae family.

Habitat of S. ain, Rhêmes Valley, Valle d’Aosta, abt. 1800 m. a.s.l.
Description
The wingspan is 34–40 mm.[2][2] The basic color of the upperide of the forewings is gray-brown. They show strongly serrated wavy lines and a characteristic silver-white characters in the form of the letter gamma. The hindwings are yellow, with a narrow black border. The thorax is hairy with some tufts of hair. The proboscis is well developed. The moth flies from July to August depending on the location. [2] The larvae are green, with thin white longitudinal lines. They feed on Larix species. [2][3]
Distribution and habitat
This species can be found in woodlands, subalpine larch forests and mountain forests of the Alps, the Southern Ural mountains, Southern Siberia and Korea and Japan. [2][4][1]
