Syo Kurokawa (黒川 逍 Kurokawa Shō, July 15, 1926–September 16, 2010)^[1] was a noted Japanese lichenologist and 1994 recipient of the Acharius Medal.^[1] Kurokawa studied under Mason Hale^[2] and Yasuhiko Asahina.^[1]
