Thomas "T. J." Tynan (born February 25, 1992) is an American ice hockey player. He is currently playing within the Columbus Blue Jackets organization of the National Hockey League (NHL). Tynan was selected by the Blue Jackets in the 3rd round (66th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career

Tynan played collegiate hockey for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's ice hockey team which competed in NCAA's Division I in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association conference and Hockey East for his final year.

On April 1, 2014, the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL) signed Tynan to a two-year entry-level contract.[1] Tynan was assigned to the Springfield Falcons upon completion of Notre Dame's season.[2]
