T. V. Kochubava

T. V. Kochubava (1955–1999) was a Malayalam–language novelist and short story writer from Kerala state, South India.

Biography

Kochubava was born in 1955 in Kattoor village in Thrissur district of Kerala. One of the most popular modernist writers of Malayalam, he has authored 23 books, including novels, collections of short stories and translations. He received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1996 for the novel Vridhasadanam. He died on November 25, 1999 at a private hospital in Kozhikode following a heart attack. He was 44 and was survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.[1] The T. V. Kochubava Literary Award is instituted in his memory and is given annually to outstanding writers in Malayalam.
