T. D. "Ted" Little is a former Democratic member of the Alabama Senate, representing the 27th District since 1991. Previously, he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from 1975 through 1986. He ran for Alabama's 3rd congressional district for United States House of Representatives in 1996 after Glen Browder retired but lost to Bob Riley (R). Little lost his seat in the state senate after he was defeated by Republican-challenger Tom Whatley on November 2, 2010.
