TGT Oil and Gas Services (TGT Oilfield Services) is an international oilfield service company specialising in production logging and hydrocarbon reservoir monitoring.[2] The company is headquartered in Dubai and has regional offices in more than eight countries and technology centres in Kazan, Tyumen, Ufa and Moscow (Russia) including the Skolkovo Innovation Centre.

Company history

TGT Oil and Gas Services was founded in Kazan in 1998 by Arthur Aslanyan and Georgy Vasilyev. Some of the specialists who formed the company graduated from the School of Oil Reservoir Studies and Engineering created by N.Neprimerov, Professor of Physics at Kazan State University.

In 2003, the company's headquarters were relocated from Kazan to Dubai (UAE).

In 2011, TGT Oil and Gas Services underwent a financial and technical audit and became part of the investment portfolio of Lime Rock Partners.[2][3]

In 2011, TGT Oil and Gas Services generated a redevelopment project for the Bavly oilfield of Tatarstan and proposed pilot tests using innovative oil recovery techniques for the Tatneft petroleum company.[4]

In 2013, TGT Oil and Gas Services became a member of the Smart City Kazan project. The company planned to build its R & D Centre on an allocated investment site. In 2013–2015, a research centre and a production park were going to be built on an area of 5 ha to accommodate modern research laboratories, a hotel and production and storage facilities. The company also planned to participate in the creation of an educational cluster allowing students, graduates and young specialists to have practical training and study at the Park.[5][6][7][8] In 2015, all the plans were implemented at the another location in the same city[9].

TGT Oil and Gas Services has several subsidiaries in Russia, TGT Prime LLC, MIKS LLC, TGT Service LLC, TGT TF LLC, and offices in USA, UK, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Pakistan and Nigeria.[2][10]

TGT Oil and Gas Services regularly participates in symposia and exhibitions held in New Orleans and Houston (USA) including IHS CERAWeek, organises the annual Winter School in Applied Modelling (WSAM)[11] held in Dubai since 2006, organises and sponsors the annual Youth Scientific Conference on Mathematical Modelling and Information Technologies (SMIT)[12] held in Kazan since 2009, and participates in exhibitions, workshops and symposia held in Moscow, Ufa, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jakarta and some other locations.[13]
