TOTal Elastic and diffractive cross section Measurement (TOTEM) is one of the seven detector experiments at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. The other six are: ATLAS, ALICE, CMS, LHCb, LHCf, and MoEDAL. It shares intersection point IP5 with the Compact Muon Solenoid. The detector aims at measurement of total cross section, elastic scattering, and diffractive processes.
