TR Oil Services
TR Oil Services Ltd. (TROS) was a British company that traded in oilfield production chemicals.
History
TROS was established in 1972 by Simon Engineering in Manchester, United Kingdom. In 1983, German chemical giant Hoechst AG acquired a 50% share of the company. In 1993, Hoechst acquires the remaining shares and TROS became a 100% Hoechst subsidiary. Following the divestment of the Hoechst speciality chemicals business, TROS became a Clariant subsidiary in 1997, and was subsequently renamed Clariant Oil Services.
