TURYID

The Turkish Restaurant & Entertainment Association (TURYID) is the national trade association for the wider restaurant industry in Turkey.

The association exists to develop the industry, promote its interests, coordinate the activities of its members, and liaise with external stakeholders such as the national and local governments.

As at January 2011 the association had 80 members representing approximately 225 outlets with 7,500 employees, collectively generating a total revenue of around US$500 million per year from serving 20 million guests.

Membership of TURYID is made up of restaurant (incl. bar, catering, event and entertainment establishment) operators and others associated with the industry.

The current President of TURYID is Mr Kaya Demirer.[1] The association is headquartered in the Nişantaşı district of Istanbul.
