Tabontabon is a fifth class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 9,838 people.[3]

In 1957, the barrios of Capahu-an and Guingawan were transferred from the town of Dagami to Tabontabon.[4]
