Prof. Dr. Talat Ayesha Wizarat (Urdu: طلعت عائشہ وزارت) is a noted scholar of International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies from Pakistan.[1] She remained the Chairperson of the Department of International Relations, University of Karachi,[1][2] in Pakistan, and now teaches at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi.[2]
Education
Dr. Wizarat holds M.A. (Karachi University), M.A. (University of South Carolina, U.S.) & Ph.D. (2001) from the Department of International Relations, University of Karachi.[3] Her PhD thesis was Strategies for Peace and Security in the Persian Gulf. Her fields of specialization include Science, Technology & International Relations, Strategic Studies, Crisis Management, Conflict Resolution and International organizations, all with primary respect to the Middle East.
Honours and awards
She secured a Fulbright Hays Award 1997-78 and has been invited as a Guest Speaker by various Pakistani Staff Colleges including the Air War College, National Defense College and Command and Staff College. Dr. Wizarat has been invited by TV channels as an expert for their Current Affairs programs. She has organized and participated in various national and international seminars . She is a founder member of International Relations Society of Pakistan and Ambassador Alumni Association of International Relations Department.

Administration
Under her first tenure as Chairperson the Syllabi were revised and many new courses were introduced among them are Crisis Management and Conflict Resolution, Disarmament and Arms Control, Confidence Building Measures, Research Methodology, Comparative Foreign Policy Analysis and Science, Technology and International Relations. Currently six candidates are working on M.Phil and Ph.D theses under her supervision.
