Tammy May (born 27 January 1978) is an Australian entrepreneur and the founder of MyBudget.
Personal life
May grew up in Morphett Vale, South Australia. May attended Pimpala Primary School and graduated high school from Cardijn College. She played basketball for Southern Tigers Basketball Association. After high school, May began working for a solicitor's office that operated a debt collection agency.[1]
Career
May started MyBudget in 1999 aged 22. In 2014, MyBudget employed more than 250 staff in 15 offices across Australia and had enrolled more than 30,000 clients in its money management services.[2] For her entrepreneurial work, she has been recognised with a number of awards and honours. In addition to her director role at MyBudget she has been a contributing columnist to a number of publications.[3] On 26 October 2012, May became an advisory board appointee to the BankSA Board. Chairman Rob Chapman said May brought "strong credentials and a passionate commitment to helping South Australia prosper and grow".[4] May remains director of and spokesperson for MyBudget.
