Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge (田中くんはいつもけだるげ) is an ongoing Japanese slice of life comedy shōnen web manga series written and illustrated by Nozomi Uda. It's published by Square Enix, with serialization on Gangan Online website and with three volumes released so far.[1] An anime adaptation by Silver Link began airing on April 9, 2016.

- A listless student who is always dozing and acts exhausted when awake.
- Ohta (太田 Ōta)
- Voiced by: Yoshimasa Hosoya
- A tall and stoic student, who is very reliable and is often looking after Tanaka.
- Miyano (宮野)
- Voiced by: Natsumi Takamori
- Tanaka's classmate with short stature. She admires Tanaka for his listlessness.
- Shiraishi (白石)
- Voiced by: Kotori Koiwai
- A beautiful and intelligent student, she is very popular among both males and females.
- Echizen (越前)
- Voiced by: Ayaka Suwa
- Ohta's childhood friend. She loves her friend Miyano and affectionately calls her Myaano (みゃーの).
- Rino (莉乃)
- Voiced by: Aoi Yūki
- Tanaka's sister. She is a middle school student who is the manager of the Ballet Club of her school.
- Saya (早夜)
- Voiced by: Nao Tōyama
- Ohta's sister. She goes to same school as Rino. She is a shy person with unusually small voice. She belongs to the Ballet Club.
- Shimura (志村)
- Voiced by: Kazuyuki Okitsu
- Tanaka's classmate. He is cool and intelligent, but has weakness for girls. He looks so different when not wearing eyeglasses that he cannot be recognized.
- Katō (加藤)
- Voiced by: Yūichi Iguchi
- Tanaka's classmate. He is good at sports and loves soccer.
- Sora Miyano (宮野空良 Miyano Sora)
- Miyano's brother.
- Washizuka-sensei (鷲塚先生 Washizuka-sensei)
- Voiced by: Yōji Ueda
- A school teacher who teaches math on Tanaka's class.
- Saionji (西園寺)
- A 20-year old college student who works on different part-time jobs like the hamburger shop WcDonalds.

Anime
An anime television series adaptation by Silver Link began airing on April 9, 2016 on Tokyo MX and MBS.[5] The anime is directed by Shinya Kawamo and written by Akemi Omode. The character designs are handled by Haruko Iizuka and the music is composed by Hiromi Mizutani. The opening theme is "Utatane Sunshine" (うたたねサンシャイン) by Unlimited tone and the ending theme is "BON-BON" by CooRie.[6] The first and second home video release volumes will bundle an OVA each, which are scheduled for release on June 24, 2016 and July 22, 2016, respectively.[7]

Volume 2 reached the 32nd place on the weekly Oricon manga charts and, as of July 27, 2014, had sold 37,291 copies;[8] volume 3 reached the 16th place and, as of November 30, 2014, had sold 63,079 copies.[9] It was tied at 17th place on the 2015 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Top 20 Manga for Female Readers survey.[10] It was also placed 4th on Zenkoku Shotenin ga Eranda Osusume Comic 2015.[11]
