Taneja (Hindi: तनेजा; Punjabi: ਤਨੇਜਾ) is a surname of the Punjabi Arora community from the Punjab region of northern India and Pakistan. They are related to the Khatris.

Aroras are said to have originally lived on the banks of the Indus River, originating from the town of Aror, Sindh, near modern-day Rohri.[1]
