Tanishaa Mukerji (born March 3, 1978) is an Indian film actress who is prominent in the Hindi, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil film industries. She is the daughter of Shomu Mukherjee and veteran Bollywood actress Tanuja. Mukerji is the younger sister of Bollywood actress Kajol and sister-in-law of Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan. She made her debut with the Hindi movie Sssshhh... in 2003. She had her first hit with Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar, appearing alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. She participated in the television reality show Bigg Boss 7 and was the first runner up.[1][2] She was later seen as one of the judges in the stand-up comedy show Gangs of Haseepur.[3]
