Levin is a former Hillsong Church member and describes herself as a feminist and an atheist.[7]

Arrest

On 1 July 2015, Levin was arrested for trespass while being interviewed outside the 2015 Hillsong annual conference at Sydney Olympic Park.[8][9] The arrest came amid increased media scrutiny of the conference, after organisers misled the media about the involvement of Mark Driscoll.[10]
