Tappuah
Tappuah is a Biblical name with several meanings:
- Taffuh, a town on the West Bank 4 miles west of Hebron. This is the suggested location for the ancient town mentioned in 2 Kings 15:16, and named in the Septuagint as 'Tappuah'
- Entappuah was mentioned in the Book of Joshua and is probably a spring near Yassuf.
- Tappuah is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 2:43 as one of the four (4) sons of Hebron.
- Tappuah was a town bordering Ephraim and conquered by Manasseh.
- "Tappuah" is the Hebrew word for "apple."
