Tara Elyse Wheeler (born May 3, 1984) is an American news anchor who was crowned as Miss Virginia in 2008.[1] She was also crowned as Miss Arlington in the same year. She was one of the Miss America Quality of Life finalists in 2009. While holding the beauty pageant title, she also served as the brand ambassador of Children's Miracle Network and went bald for a fund raiser event which was done in association with St. Baldrick's Foundation.[2]This later inspired Debbe Ebben, Miss Alaska 2012, to go bald for the same cause. [3] She was also the former goalie of the Penn State Nittany Lions women's ice hockey team.[4] She is currently working as an anchor for Fox21/27 in Roanoke, Virginia.[5]
