Gifty Eugenia Kusi (Kwofie) is the member of parliament for this parliament constituency. She was elected on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and won a majority of 11,014 votes[1] to become the MP. She was the incumbent MP of the constituency during the 2008 parliamentary elections of Ghana.
