The Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering & Technology (abbreviated TKIET), established in 1983, offers courses in information technology, computer science, mechanical, chemical, civil, biotechnology and electronics engineering. TKIET is recognized by the government of Maharashtra, and is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education,[1] New Delhi. It is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The Institute is affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
TKIET is situated on a 30-acre (120,000 m2) campus 30 km northwest of Kolhapur city in rural Warananagar. The institute has over 1000 students from across all parts of the nation.
History
Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering and Technology (TKIET) was established in 1983. The Institute is located at Warananagar, 30 km away from Kolhapur a district headquarter and 10 km to the west from Kini-Wathar on Pune-Bangolare National Highway NH-4. TKIET has emerged as one of the leading technological institutes in Western Maharashtra. The Institute has a campus spread over 30 acres.
