Tawanda Mutasah

Tawanda Mutasah (born 4 August 1970[1]) is a lawyer, human rights advocate and Senior Director for Law and Policy at the Amnesty International Secretariat. He was formerly Global Director of Programs at the Open Society Foundations.[2] He trained in law at Harvard University, New York University and the University of Zimbabwe, and holds a management degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. He has worked for Oxfam Great Britain as a spokesman on African issues, and previously directed Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa.[3]

He contributes media articles in a number of outlets, covering topics such as the rule of law,[4] human rights and democracy.[5]
