"Tears Are Not Enough" was the first single to be released by new wave group ABC. It was released on 16 October 1981[1] on two formats (7" and 12" vinyl record). The two singles versions of the song are both different from the version on their first album The Lexicon of Love. Originally produced by Steve Brown, it was re-recorded for the album. The single peaked at #19 on the UK Singles Chart. In the US, Tears Are Not Enough was released as the B-side of Poison Arrow.
