The Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) is a private, non-sectarian higher education institution. It was founded in 1962 by Engr. Demetrio A. Quirino Jr. and his wife Dr. Teresita U. Quirino, who shared a vision of education excellence.
The school has two campuses, T.I.P. Manila and T.I.P. Quezon City, and is headed by its third president, Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz.

T.I.P.’s Computer Science, Information Systems, and Information Technology programs are among the first in the country to be recognized by the Seoul Accord, the international authority on quality assurance for education in the computing and IT-related professions.

Local accreditations
Aside from having four academic programs identified as Centers of Excellence (COE) and four Centers of Development (COD), T.I.P. Manila and T.I.P. Quezon City enjoy Deregulated Status and Autonomous Status respectively, from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The school’s programs are accredited locally by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), the Philippine Technological Council (PTC), and the PCS Information and Computing Accreditation Board (PICAB).

Other recognitions
The T.I.P. Manila and Quezon City Career Centers were identified by the United States Agency for International Development – Science, Technology, Research, and Innovation for Development (USAID STRIDE) to be developed as model career centers patterned after those found in the United States.
The Gawad Parangal Committee of Quezon City selected T.I.P. “as one of Quezon City’s Most Outstanding Institutions” to receive the City’s highest award of honor and recognition – the Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal Award for 2015.
The T.I.P. Manila Mileage Team won the Shell Helix Tribology Award in the Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2015, Philippines.
