Tegan Alyce Philip (née Caldwell; born 3 September 1988) is an Australian Netball player in the ANZ Championship, who plays the Goal Attack position for the Melbourne Vixens.[1][2]

She has been described as the new Sharelle McMahon (the current Australian Netball Captain) because of her agility in the circle, vertical leap and accurate eye.[3]

Netball Career

Tegan's career began in the seaside town of Anglesea (Victoria) for the Bellarine Netball Association when she started playing 'Netta' coached by her mum. It was clear very early on that she was destined for big things dominating in all positions she played and being chosen in most representative teams for the area. More recently Tegan has been a part of the successful Commonwealth Games squad who brought home the gold medal from Glasgow 2014.[4][5][6][7]

Personal life

A devout Christian, she has stated that her faith is crucial to her approach to life. She has been married to Joshi Philip since February 22, 2015[8][9] Coincidentally, this was exactly one year to the day after fellow Australian teammate, Madison Robinson, got married in 2014.[10][11]
