Teigan Zahn (born January 4, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL.

Playing career

Zahn was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 5th round (132nd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, but was not signed by the Blackhawks. He re-entered the 2010 NHL Entry Draft where he was selected in the 7th round (186th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Zahn played the 2011-12 season of CIS college hockey with the University of Calgary. He was rewarded for his outstanding play by receiving the "University of Alberta Hockey Alumni Trophy" as the CIS (West) Most Outstanding Freshman, and was also named to the CIS (West) First All-Star Team, and the CIS All-Rookie team.[1]

Zahn began the 2012–13 season with the Stockton Thunder and played in six ECHL games before being called up to the American Hockey League (AHL) to join the Oklahoma City Barons.

On August 18, 2014, Zahn agreed to a contract with his third ECHL club, on a one-year deal with the Colorado Eagles.[2]
