Tejvan Pettinger (born Richard Pettinger, November 11, 1976 in London, United Kingdom) is a cyclist and competes in UK time trials. He works as a Economics teacher and lives in Oxford.[1]

Biography

Tejvan was born in Runnymeade, England, but spend most of his time growing up in Menston, West Yorkshire. When he was young he did a bit cycling and cross-country running. He started cycling at age 14 and riding for Otley CC. He want to Bradford Grammar School and then Lady Margret Hall, Oxford University where he read PPE. He becam a student of the spiritual master Sri Chinmoy since 1999. He adopted the name Tejvan from Sri Chinmoy (a Sanskrit word represents dynamism, enthusiasm and self-giving).[2][3] And he was a member of the Oxford University CC during the late 1990s.[1][4][5] After an illness he started to running. But he became knee injury. In 2003 he started again with the bike, and in 2004 he started a few races. Since 2010 he cycle more.[6]
