Teletext Holidays is a British travel company that has been providing flights, hotels, cars, and transfer deals for over 20 years originally via TV text services and now wholly (and only) via the website teletextholidays.co.uk.[1][2] Teletext Holidays product range features short and long haul beach holidays, city breaks, UK getaways and cruises, with a focus on having a wide range of offers at affordable prices.[3]

Unlike many holiday websites, that attract a niche audience, teletextholidays.co.uk has retained its mass appeal.[4] The site’s audience represents a much wider geographical and socio-economic cross-section of society than other travel websites with people of all ages, ranging from 18 year-olds to over-55s, making up its core user group.[3][5][6]

Traditionally a price comparison site working with 15+ suppliers, in January 2014 Teletext Holidays began working solely with Truly Travel.[7][2]

Teletext Holidays’ main competitors are considered to be any other supplier of affordable holidays for UK holidaymakers, with a particular focus on short-haul beach holidays.[8] The list of core competitors includes Low Cost Holidays, TravelRepublic, On the Beach, Thomson, Thomas Cook, and FirstChoice.[9][10]

Teletext Holidays fill of 1M hotel room nights annually, positioning the company among the top ten OTAs in the UK market.[2][11]
