Telicota is a genus of skippers in the family Hesperiidae. A tropical Asian genus, shared between the Indomalayan ecozone and the Australasian ecozone and ranging from Sri Lanka to Australia and New Guinea. Larval foodplants include Palmae and Graminaeae - Miscanthus sinensis, Pennisetum purpureum, Oryza sativa (Rice), Saccharum officinarum (Sugar cane), Imperata cylindrica (Lalang grass), Cocos nucifera (Coconut) and Calamus (Rattan) .
