Tender Forever is the performing name of musician Mélanie Valera. She was born in South West France and currently resides in Olympia, Washington. Valera has worked on big scale multimedia projects, including collaborations with film maker Ted Passon, artist Nick Lally, producer Christopher Doulgeris, musician The Blow, singer song-writer Mirah, and many more. Most recently, she performed at the Time-Based Art Festival in Portland, Oregon, the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, the Centre Georges Pompidou, La Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, and La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris. She received the RAAC (Regional Arts & Culture Council) Grant to complete a collaborative project called MAZED with Peter Burr and was invited to the Henry Art Gallery to lecture on reenactment and public source content. She has recorded 4 full length records on K Records and has played over 1000 shows worldwide (she has NOT played in Alaska or Hawaii so you can invite her to do that. That'd be great). She is a Virgo, Capricorn, Leo. She is currently working and teaching Electronic Media and Graphic Design at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, wa. She just recently came back from the dead and is planning on recording a new opus. She hopes you and her can soon hold each other again.

She is queer.
