Terai Television is a privately owned television channel in Nepal. It is the first channel on satellite to beamed outside the capital Kathmandu. Earlier its earth station was in Birgunj but later it shifted to Kathmandu. Its name was Terai tv earlier but later it changed it name as TTV but said it is not a short form of Terai Tv. It has a headquarters outside of Kathmandu Valley, in Birgunj, which falls in the Terai region of Nepal. Without any public notice the TTV has been shut down since April of 2014. Now it can not be viewed in cable tv or in only one DTH hub Dish home. The current Chairman of the company is Mr. J.K Sthapit.
