Terani

Terani is a village in the Maharashtra state of India.[1] Administered by a gram panchayat, it is located in the Gadhinglaj taluka of Kolhapur district. It is situated at the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka.

Terani is surrounded by the mountains and hills. The Terani Dam is located here.

Demographics

Marathi is the most common language in the village.

In 2011, Terani's population was 9,987; it is the third largest populated place in Gadhinglaj Taluka. It is a growing village in terms of population and economy. The majority of people are Hindu, very few Muslims and a small number of other religions.
