Tevita Aholelei is an IFBB professional bodybuilder.
Life & career
Aholelei was born in the Kingdom of Tonga. He is sometimes known as the "Stone of Tonga". At 4 years old, he moved to Hawaii and then to California three years later, where his family sought greater opportunities.
Tevita's first competition came in 1997, where he placed 1st in the NPC (National Physique Committee) California Championships. He also competed in the NPC USA Championships later the same year, where he placed 5th in the heavyweight division. His first and only appearance in the NPC Nationals was in 1998, where he placed 4th. Tevita eventually earned his Pro Card winning the Heavyweigh Division in the 2000 NPC USA Championships. His first IFBB bodybuilding competition came in 2002 Night of Champions now called IFBB The New York Pro, where he did not place. He did, however, place in IFBB Ironman Pro Invitational and in the IFBB San Francisco Pro Invitational, both in 2003. Tevita has competed in bodybuilding for 13 years and has been featured in many magazine articles, including being on the cover of Muscle Polynesia magazine.
Tevita currently lives in Yorba Linda, California, with his wife of 24 Years, Kim, and five children, Kahyana (23), Kalanie (20), Keanu (19), Kavika (14), and Napualani (9). A U.S. Marine for four years, he served in Desert Storm for seven months during his wife's pregnancy.
