State Highway 153 or SH 153 is a highway in the U.S. State of Texas that runs from Coleman northwest to a junction south of Sweetwater.
History
SH 153 was originally designated by 1931 along a route from Valley Mills to Temple. This route was redesignated as part of SH 317 by 1939, and FM 56 in 1942.
The current route was designated in 1988, replacing Farm to Market Road 53.[1]
