Thakur Anoop Singh is an Indian model and TV actor known mainly for the character of Dhritarashtra in the 2013 TV series Mahabharat.

Biography

Thakur Anoop Singh is a model turned actor. He made his acting début with TV fiction show Mahabharat.[1] He played the role of blind king Dhritarashtra in the series. Anoop has done modelling assignments and has been a part player in shows like Jai Bajrang Bali, Dwarkadheesh – Bhagwaan Shree Krishn and played 'Hanuman' in Ramayan. The actor was last seen in Big Magic's Akbar Birbal.

He is a pilot by profession, he got his first break in a television show directed by Siddharth Tewary to essay the role of Dhritarashtra on behalf of Swastik Productions.

Body-building

Thakur Anoop Singh has won gold at the World Bodybuilding Championship in Thailand. He has also won the title of Mr. World after fending off opposition from two Thai builders in the finals. This made Anoop only the second builder from India, after Manohar Aich to lift the coveted title.[2][3]
