The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati is one of The Art Institutes, a system of more than 40 educational institutions located throughout North America, providing education in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts. The Art Institutes system is a subsidiary of Education Management Corporation (EDMC), which is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Founded in 2004, The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati is located at 8845 Governors Hill Drive in the Cincinnati suburb of Mason, Ohio. However, according to the Cincinnati Business Courier, the college’s original facility was shared with its EDMC sister school Brown Mackie College .

The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) as well as by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) as a branch of The Illinois Institute of Art — Chicago.
