The Business on Commercial Avenue in Anacortes

The Business is an independent music store in Anacortes, Washington, USA. Founded by Glen DesJardins, it opened on Commercial Avenue in Anacortes in 1978. From October 2008 through February 2016, The Business occupied a former bank on the corner of 4th Street and Commercial Ave. In March 2016, The Business relocated a couple blocks down to 216 Commercial Ave.[1] The store regularly stocks vinyl records, CDs, and audio cassettes, both new and used.

The store maintains a selection of music-related posters and artwork for purchase. The Business frequently holds free shows during store hours with locally and nationally known artists from a wide variety of genres. The store also used to trade in used DVD and VHS.
