Camp Cult Classics Film Festival
The Camp Cult Classics Festival is a festival born out of the Century City Film Festival; which ran 2004-2006 in Century City, California. They both share the same theme, which is, Camp, Cult Classics.
The Camp Cult Classics Festival showcases independent films alongside classic Hollywood films. The types of films screened include silent films, campy, experimental, blaxploitation films, musicals, avant-garde, alongside classic films such as Stormy Weather, Singin' in the Rain or 12 Angry Men.
Audiences range in age from 8 to 88 with over nine thousand in attendance. Audiences share in voting for the winners of the films though a phone app. 2016's festival honored winning independent filmmakers alongside celebrity cult classic films and filmmakers.
The festival is a fundraiser for the Minorities in Broadcasting Training Program; a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.
