The Chantry School is a mixed gender secondary school with academy status located in Martley, Worcestershire, England. The school has about 700 students on roll who come mainly from small villages around the edge of Worcester,[1] The school has a Technology College specialism. A July 2009 Ofsted report awarded the school a Grade 1 (Outstanding).[1] The headteacher is Dr Andrew Dickenson, who took over from Steve Jowett in September 2012.
History
The Chantry High school was established in 1963-moving from its former early 19th century building across the road. The name changed to the Chantry school after becoming an academy in 2010. The original school colours were Maroon and black but have since changed to Red and black.
The School Housing System
The Chantry High School operates a house system in Senior School Fashion. The house system is a main part of the pastoral care system, and there are various house sporting and music competitions every year. There are five houses in total, each named after surrounding hillside areas within a 100-mile radius of the school campus.

The school has been awarded the Investors in People Status,[1] and the Sportsmark award, and also has Healthy Schools and Green Flag Eco status, and the Extended Services Stamp[1]
