The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in El Salvador

As of January 1, 2011, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reported 114,674 members in 17 stakes and two districts, 161 congregations (115 wards[1] and 46 branches[1]), two missions, and one temple in El Salvador.[2]

The San Salvador El Salvador Temple was announced on November 7, 2007 by President Henry B. Eyring.

Announced in a letter dated 7 November 2007 from the First Presidency to priesthood leaders.[3][4] The public open house was held from Friday, 1 July 2011, until Saturday, 23 July 2011,[5] following which the temple was dedicated on Sunday, 21 August 2011, in three sessions.[6]
