The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Thailand

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints arrived in Thailand as early as the presidency of Brigham Young but officially began procelyting to the local population after then elder Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the county in November 2, 1966.[1]

Church Membership in Thailand is around 18 thousand. There is only one mission. Missionaries from Thailand go to the Philippines MTC to train.

According to the Church's news room site, President Brigham Young sent a LDS missionary to Thailand. He returned after only being there for four month because of a language barrier.

A temple has been announced to be built in Bangkok, the capital city.
