The Driver is a British crime drama television serial set in Manchester which began on BBC One for 3 episodes from 23 September until 7 October 2014. Written by Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser (pilot ep), the three-part drama series stars David Morrissey and was directed by Jamie Payne.[1] It was co-produced by Highfield Pictures and Red Production Company.

Production
The Driver was announced by BBC One on 10 January 2014 after it was commissioned by Charlotte Moore and Ben Stephenson.[2] Filming began in January 2014.[3]
