The Earls of Leicester are a bluegrass group.[1] Their self-titled debut album earned a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album.[2]
Leicester is pronounced as if it were spelled Lester (
i/ˈlɛstər/ LESS-tər).[3]
Members
Jerry Douglas formed the group in 2013 as a band in tribute to the music of guitarist Lester Flatt and banjo player Earl Scruggs. [4]

Awards
The Earls and their engineer/mixer, Bil Vorndick, received a Grammy Award in 2014 for Best Bluegrass Album for their album The Earls of Leicester. [9] [10]
