The Earls of Leicester are a bluegrass group.[1] Their self-titled debut album earned a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album.[2]

Leicester is pronounced as if it were spelled Lester (i/ˈlɛstər/ LESS-tər).[3]

Members

Jerry Douglas formed the group in 2013 as a band in tribute to the music of guitarist Lester Flatt and banjo player Earl Scruggs. [4]

Awards
