The End[1] (Spanish: Fin) is a 2012 Spanish thriller film directed by Jorge Torregrossa and based on David Monteagudo's novel Fin,[2] with a screenplay by Sergio G. Sánchez and Jorge Guerricaechevarría.[3] The film was produced by Antena 3 Films. It was first screened at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival in September[3] and later opened in Spain on 23 November of the same year.[4] The film also marks the screen debut of model Andrés Velencoso.[5]

Plot

A group of old friends gets together for a weekend in a mountain cabin. It has been several years since they last met, yet nothing seems to have changed between them. But lurking behind the laughter and stories is a murky episode from their past that continues to haunt them.

A strange, sudden incident alters their plans, leaving them stranded and with no means of communication with the outside world. On their way for help, the group starts to disintegrate, just as a new natural order is revealed before their astonished eyes.
