The Heart of Darkness was the debut album created by Hoodlum Priest. The album - that was minimally successful - featured the first and only appearance of rapper Sevier, who left the band after Derek due to creative differences. During some time after the release of The Heart Of Darkness, ZZT was bought out by Warner Bros, and the album deleted almost immediately upon its release by request of Warner Bros's Legal Department.[1] It was later re-released on the hoodlum priest website on the 06/06/06. The cover art features a picture of an eyeless Tunisian, the original quoted by Derek was supposed to be a picture of a helicopter gunship full of cardinals from Rome over South America, but the photographer refused permission for its usage.[2] A remix of Caucasian entitled Scanning appeared on the follow-up Beneath The Pavement... The Beach.
