Literature
Graphic novel
The Hills Have Eyes 2 was accompanied with the release of the graphic novel, The Hills Have Eyes: The Beginning.
The Hills Have Eyes: The Beginning tells for the first time the epic origin story behind Wes Craven's classic tale of mutant carnage, leading into and bridging the gap between the 2006 remake of The Hills Have Eyes and its sequel, The Hills Have Eyes 2. Written by acclaimed storytellers Jimmy Palmiotti (Painkiller Jane) and Justin Gray (Countdown) with shocking art by John Higgins (Judge Dredd, War Stories), this is mutant mayhem as you've never seen it before.[6]

Future
When asked if there will be another The Hills Have Eyes film, Craven said, “There’s discussion about a possible Hills 3 and we’ll take it in a totally different direction. I’m not interested in doing straight-to-video. If it can’t make it in theaters then…” he explained, “There are a lot of good movies still in that concept, you know and I’d like to flip it actually and have them integrated a little into our society and run into prejudice or something…because they have this ability to survive anything, maybe be recruited by the society that’s about to throw them out.“[7]
