The Lakes, Visalia, California

Coordinates: 36°19′27″N 119°18′26″W / 36.3241°N 119.307347°W / 36.3241; -119.307347 The Lakes is an affluent neighborhood in Northwest Visalia. It is bordered by the neighborhood of Marseille on the north, Akers Street on the east, Goshen Avenue on the south, and The Industrial Park on the west. In an effort to slow down traffic in the neighborhood, speed bumps have been installed.

This neighborhood of lavish custom homes was the first of its kind for Visalia. The Lakes has 9 acres (36,000 m2) of manmade waterways and lakes. The 152 quarter-acre and half-acre homesites are situated on 20 acres (81,000 m2).[1]

The Lakes stands alone as Visalia's only water-front community and is known to be the most secure community in the city of Visalia.[2]
