The Liberator (CEB press)
The Liberator is a high-performance, open-source, compressed-earth block (CEB) press,[1] developed by Open Source Ecology.
In tests it has produced 6 bricks per minute with manual controls. It has a theoretical limit of 12 bricks per minute with automatic controls.
Open Source Ecology does not aim to make profits, and has adopted a marketing model accordingly. Thus the Liberator can sell for a price 5 times smaller than that of equivalent commercial presses. Because the entire project of the press uses open source, any other group or person can make clones (or variations) of this press without having to pay royalties.
