The Little App Factory is a software company based in Sydney, Australia which develops software for the Mac OS X platform.
History
The company was founded in 2002 and initially released M-Beat, a freeware iTunes controller. The next year iPodRip was shipped and has been extremely successful. Initially licensed as freeware it progressed to shareware in late 2003 and has remained that way since. Due to the nature of the product, no major rewards have been received but it has been reviewed in a number of books and online. iPodRip has been renamed as iRip. Other notable products were Connoisseur, a cook book application, and Netflix Freak which was designed to improve upon the Netflix website.
In 2009 the company was relaunched under new management. The new focus has been on media applications as seen with the creation of Evom and the purchase of RipIt.
On July 26, 2010, it was announced that The Little App Factory would be the head sponsor of Team Liquid, a professional StarCraft II team.[1]
